Terms of Service

The rules for using EM Hub: your account, subscriptions, extensions and refunds, acceptable use and certificates.

Draft last revised 28 September 2026.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use EM Hub — this website and its candidate, faculty and administrator portals. By creating an account or buying a subscription you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

The provider of the service is [legal entity to be confirmed], registered at [address to be confirmed]. You can reach us through the contact page.

Your account

  • Give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date in your settings.
  • Your account is for you alone. Keep your password secret, and do not let anyone else sign in with it. We recommend turning on two-step verification.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You can end your other sign-in sessions from your account settings.
  • You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for what that removes). Deleting it ends your access, including any time left on a subscription, and revokes your certificates.

Subscriptions and payment

  • A subscription gives you access to one course for the length of the plan you choose (for example 1, 3 or 6 months). It is a single payment: nothing renews automatically, and there is nothing to cancel.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and include VAT where it applies. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout, including any valid promotion code.
  • If you buy the same course again while your access is still running, the new period starts when the current one ends, so the two run back to back and no time is lost.
  • Some courses are marked “Coming soon” while their content is being prepared. They can’t be bought until they are live.
  • Institutional purchases by invoice are arranged separately with our billing team.

Extensions if your exam moves

If your exam sitting is postponed you can ask for an extension from your subscription page while your access is active. Extensions are granted at our discretion, for up to 3 months per request, and one request per subscription can be open at a time.

Refunds

Refunds are at our discretion — contact us if you think one is due. A refund ends the access that subscription gave you. Your statutory rights, including any right to cancel, are [to be confirmed].

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • share your account, or sell or give away access to it;
  • copy, scrape, record or download questions, explanations, notes or videos in bulk, or use automated tools to do so;
  • publish, redistribute or sell our content, or use it to build another question bank or course;
  • try to get around access limits, security measures or the limits on repeated attempts;
  • interfere with the service or other people’s use of it.

All course content remains ours or our faculty’s. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Certificates

A certificate is issued automatically when you score 70% or more on an exam-mode mock paper of at least 20 questions. It records your name, the course, your score and the date, and anyone with its ID can check that it is genuine on our certificate verification page.

A certificate shows performance on EM Hub practice papers. It is not a qualification and is not issued or endorsed by any examining body. We may revoke a certificate — for example if the subscription it was earned on is refunded, if the account is deleted, or if it was obtained in breach of these terms. A revoked certificate shows as revoked when checked.

Our content is for education only

EM Hub is exam preparation. Questions, explanations, notes and videos are written for learning and revision. They are not clinical advice, may not reflect the latest guidance for every setting, and must not be relied on to make decisions about patient care. Always follow current local and national guidance and your own clinical judgement.

Availability and liability

We work to keep EM Hub available and accurate, but we can’t promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that using it will lead to passing an exam.

[Liability wording to be confirmed by legal review.] Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

This is a draft. How we will tell you about changes to these terms, and when changes take effect, is [to be confirmed].

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [to be confirmed], and disputes are dealt with by the courts of [to be confirmed].
