Prepare for the practical component of the DNB Emergency Medicine final examination with EMHub’s spotter questions and OSCE scenarios. Organised into 28 topic areas, the materials help you practise recognising important findings, explaining their significance and deciding what to do next.
Interpret ECGs, chest X-rays, CT brain scans, trauma imaging, musculoskeletal X-rays, ultrasound findings, arterial blood gases and laboratory results. Identify airway equipment, emergency instruments, drugs, antidotes and newer devices. Visual diagnosis stations include clinical photographs and ophthalmology findings.
OSCE scenarios bring these observations into clinical practice. Work through emergency procedures, resuscitation, trauma, paediatric care, toxicology, ventilation and non-invasive ventilation. Further stations address neurological and cardiovascular assessment, infectious diseases, obstetric and gynaecological emergencies, and the management of bites and envenomation.
The course also covers communication, medicolegal and ethical decisions, disaster and mass-casualty management, emergency medicine pharmacology and recent advances. These topics test your ability to prioritise, act safely and communicate clearly under examination conditions.
Use the spotters to develop rapid recognition and the scenarios to practise a structured response. Together, they offer a focused way to revise the knowledge, practical skills and clinical judgement required for the DNB Emergency Medicine final examination.
Each spotter or OSCE question gives you a short scenario, with or without a picture. Write your answer in the answer box and submit it to see the correct answer and its explanation, then mark how you did.
